Since Baba has been a little under the weather, Nathan and I have had some extra bonding time...so after a rough start, I think he's beginning to enjoy spending time with Mama. I got two kisses on the neck today. Baba got a kiss on the cheek when he left for work this morning. So sweet!
He watched most of "Super Why?" tv this morning.
He can sing along with the refrigerator magnet Leapfrog alphabet. He repeats pretty much anything we say in English, and understands almost everything we tell him.
Time-outs seem to be effective for behavior issues. He's learning pretty quickly that his mama doesn't tolerate back talk, and she refuses to be hit.
He loves bath time now...and he can say, "Brush your teeth" perfectly.
He came to us in 4 layers of clothing...which is okay for outside, but not so great for a hot Civil Affairs office. I was hanging near the window to try to catch some of the cold weather outside to keep from over-heating myself...but I dare not take any clothing off of the child in order not to offend.
So funny...when we got to Guangzhou, which is more tropical, but cooler in Dec, one of the bellboys was checking out what we had on Nathan, and telling us that we didn't have enough clothing on him for the cool day. Had he only know that we'd been in sub-zero weather just a couple days prior..ha! You expect the older people in China to criticize for not layering enough, but this guys was like 20. Our guide chuckled at the comment..
Okay...it's time to get dressed and play. We're going out to the grocery in a little bit because we are expecting some sleet and snow to head our way in a few hours.

we also frequented that Pizza Hut quite a bit while we were there! Where did you stay in Guangzhou? We loved Guangzhou! It was so pleasant and western after being in harbin! Boy, he sure is a smart boy! congrats again!
